This is the wonderful thing about winter: It makes you really appreciate spring!
Yes, there may be still be mounds of snow, but we are in the month of the official first day of spring. And so, to celebrate, I bought my first bag of the season of these little gems.
Not only are these tasty, they also make me thing of spring and of my friend Em(ily).
So, to spring, and to Em!
(p.s. I also love the Reese's peanut butter eggs at this time of year, which are also tasty and remind me of my sister Julia).

For years my favorite has been Brach's malted milk eggs, which for years I could only find at Broulim's in Rexberg. I bought some last week at Harmon's and they were NOT THE SAME. Another honored tradition bites the dust.
Those are the exact candies I picked up at Wegmans this morning. I'm hoping to save a few for filling eggs...we'll see how my willpower holds up.
I gotta go with the Cadbury creme eggs...yummmmmmy!!!

Hey, I got a couple packages of those this past week, too! I LOVE the Dove eggs, though. Too bad they are so expensive.
Did you put them in the freezer? If so, watch out! Rhiannon and I used to sneak them at midnight, then shrug innocently at Em when they were all gone the next morning. Hee hee.
