Indiana Lucas and Nevada Gabey
A few weeks ago Cory got the "Lego Indiana Jones" Wii game.
My boys think it's great fun, and are now fans of Indiana Jones (although we've told them they will not see those movies for several years).
Inspired by that, a couple of weeks ago Cory started telling them bedtime stories with the adventures of Indiana Lucas and Nevada Gabey.
Here are the heroes of the story, whips and all.

Endings
It's that time of year.

Yes, Gabey. That's exactly what you do with it.

The 3 other moms and I wrapped up our little co-op preschool two weeks ago. Here are the kids at the little "graduation" party we had.
Lydia, Rachel, Emmet, Gabey, and Adalynn.
Gabey took his diploma and said, "Mommy, is this what I do with it?"
Lucas's last day of Kindergarten at Bush Hill Elementary was this last Thursday. Here he is with his teachers, Ms. Gallego and Mrs. Barrett.
To celebrate the official start of summer vacation, we went to lunch at Wendy's on Thursday. Gabey can have their fries, so we all got to enjoy it. What a treat!

Let This Be a Lesson...
On why you should not procastinate.
Remember how, for about a year, we were told we'd have to switch from antennas to digital converter boxes to get any channels?
Remember how they moved the date back 4 months for procrastinators who had not yet gotten said boxes?
Here it is. 4 days after the switchover. The Martins still did not get the box.
No big deal....
EXCEPT THAT I AM MISSING MY FAVORITE SHOW!
So You Think You Can Dance is on, but instead of watching it, I am providing a voice of warning.
If you procrastinate, you might not get to watch people do the Samba.
Sigh.

Thought for the Day
Or week, or month...until I get around to a new post.

Things I'm Coming to Terms With...
Kind of.
* There is no such thing as being "caught up" on housework.
* My post-pregnancy/summer Virginia humidity hair. It is curly and frizzy on the bottom and straight on top.
* Other post-pregnancy features. Uh-heh.
* Once your children start school, their life goes into warpspeed.
* It is getting warmer and there will be bugs in the house, including those nasty spider crickets.
* The entire planet is sleep-deprived.
Yawn.
